The Project Quality Lead will be responsible for the project Management Systems, Quality Assurance and Certification, overseeing the management of information across The Project including the development, implementation, deployment and maintenance of the project Common Data Environment systems, and the IT of the project. This role requires extensive experience in construction and quality management, with a strong background in Building Information Modelling (BIM), software setup, IT, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in construction and quality management.
- Proven experience with BIM implementation and Experience with ISO 19650 standards.
- Qualified Lead Auditor ISO 9001
- Strong knowledge of software setup and IT infrastructure.
Relevant Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Extensive experience in AI implementation and management.
- Familiarity with AI agents and their integration into construction management systems.
- Proven previous experience with Asite, Power BI, BIM software packages, and software setup
- Management and integration of APIs to streamline workflows
Responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
A) General Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Implement and manage quality assurance processes to ensure that construction projects meet contractual and regulatory requirements
- Information Management: Ensure all relevant project information is captured, registered, and circulated using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and BIM 3D models
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on information management systems and processes
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including construction, quality, BIM and IT departments, to ensure seamless information flow and project success
- Lead Auditing: Conduct and lead auditing activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant BIM and IT standards.
- Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of quality and Information management systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance to the applicable IS standards (ISO 9001,, ISO19650, ISO44001, ISO27001), and maintain the project JV certification
- Liaise with Client Quality, Digital Construction & Data Management/ BIM, IT representatives
- Monitoring the Management Systems and maintain the applicable procedures for the project, ensuring the these are suitable for the project completion on time, cost and ensuring the JV is protected at all times by ensuring that all areas of compliance are in place and are being adhered via regular audit & surveillance compliance checks
B) Position-Specific Responsibilities
- Information Management: Ensure all relevant project information is captured, registered, and circulated using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and BIM 3D models
- BIM Implementation: Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes across projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Software and IT Setup: Oversee the setup and maintenance of software systems and IT infrastructure to support project information management
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reporting systems using tools such as Power BI to provide insights across various disciplines
- Team Supervision: Supervise and manage document control, IT, BIM and other information management staff
- Travel: Travel where required between the different project site offices
- To manage, communicate, promote and enforce the Client Requirements for Quality, BIM and IT management in line with FC’s Management System,
- Take the lead role in facilitating and conducting Quality sessions with Project Management and Work Packages teams including suppliers,
- Advise and guide the Project Management team of Quality, BIM and IT procedures,
- Monitoring compliance of the QMP with the assistance of the Quality, BIM and IT departments throughout the project and ensuring processes support the Employer’s Requirements for quality assurance,
- Ensure that an effective audit program is developed and that audits are undertaken by qualified competent auditors,
- Promoting and maintaining the Right First Time/continuous improvement at all levels, and progressive handover of the project
- Complete Management review as per project and JV requirements
- Analysing any trends of non-conformities and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence,
- Ensure correct and timely KPI reporting, and ensure that a Works Package quality register is in place,
- Ensure compliance with FC processes and management systems,
- Establish and maintain a matrix of authorized signatories and competent people,
- Promote regular quality, BIM and IT reviews by the Project Management team
- Give advice to Project management and suppliers in the production of a certificate of compliance, design and production, of the requirements to be referenced that all requirements have been met,
- Ensure that a HAZOP studies or similar are initiated, and progressively addressed,
- Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, sub-contractors and other external contacts.
- Responsible to have processes digitised and correctly implemented
- Managing Handover and Asset integration
